REPRESENTATIVE MORGAN ANNOUNCES BID TO RETURN TO STATE HOUSE Rep. Danny Morgan recently filed for re-election for the Oklahoma House of Representatives in House District 32. Morgan, a Democrat and life long resident of Lincoln County, is President of Morgan Well Service, Inc. He is vice chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Utility Regulation and a member of Oklahoma Biennial Compensation Review Board. Last session his colleagues elected him as Chair of the Democratic Caucus. Morgan said his experience as Mayor of Prague and as a businessman provides him with an understanding of the importance of economic development and the creation of quality jobs in rural areas. A strong education system is the first key to economic development. The first step in keeping children from crime ridden lives is to provide them with a strong education. “Providing education is the best way to protect children as a natural resource. We cannot back away from a commitment to quality education,” said Morgan. Morgan said when re-elected he will continue to address important issues at the State House that include: improvement of the worker’s compensation system, increasing communication technology in rural Oklahoma and providing quality rural health care. Morgan is a 1981 graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma and serves on the Board of Directors for the Redlands Council of the Girl Scouts of America. In addition he serves as Vice Chair of the Canadian Valley District of the Boy Scouts of America, serves on the Board of Directors for Oklahoma Academy and is a member of Leadership Oklahoma Class 18. District 32 includes the communities of Agra, Carney, Chandler, Davenport, Drumright, Kendrick, Milfay, Meeker, Prague, Shamrock, Sparks, Stroud, Tryon, Warwick and Wellston. “I have worked to meet the needs of District 32, creating an economically strong state where businesses and families can prosper now and in the future,” Morgan concluded. |
